Royal Albert Hall 11th May
What a superb day, performing with 12 other Police Choirs and the British Police Symphony Orchestra to an audience
of over 5,000.

The Essex Police Choir is a four part choir (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass) with around 50 members and we perform 8 to 10 concerts a year for good causes and charities, mainly in Essex.
Since the Choir's formation in 1989 we have raised in excess of £350,000 for good causes and have probably helped more churches to instal disabled toilets than any other organisation in the County!
As well as performing to raise money for others we have two of our own concerts, the proceeds from which we donate to our annually chosen charities to whom we aim to give at least £1,500. These concerts are our Annual Concert in October (at St Luke's Church, Tiptree - see 'Concert Dates' tab above for details) and our Christmas Concert at Trinity Methodist Church, Chelmsford in December.
The Choir is totally self-funding, taking no money from the Police budget and so we rely on subscriptions, sales of CDs and donations (see 'How You Can Help Us!' tab above).  Whilst we pride ourselves on our professionalism - we also have a lot of fun!
Please read through our pages to learn more about the Choir and how you can use us.  And see who we have as our 2019 Chosen Charities

Join the Choir about which the Musical Director of The Band of the Parachute Regiment recently said:
"Your ladies and gents are the most musically disciplined choir I think I’ve seen in my 20 years - and I’ve seen a few!"
This video will tell you all about our Choir and show how professionally we perform. Here we are singing 'The Rivers of Babylon'.  If you are interested in finding out more, please come along and give us a try.  Contact is as above.

'Rags to Ritz' is a medley of Irving Berlin standards that we love to sing.  This clip was taken when we performed with the Maldon Orchestra - a lovely bunch of enthusiastic, amateur musicians.
This clip was taken at one of our rehearsals and shows that we aren't a stuffy Choir but are relaxed and have fun - and get to sing some superb music. Here it's Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' from the film Shrek.
This is the full, uninterrupted version of Rivers of Babylon
That wonderful song 'Feeling Good' recorded at our Annual Concert at St Luke's, Tiptree
